About Al Iaquinta

Al Iaquinta wrestled at Wantagh High School. Following High School Al wrestled at Nassau Community College. His interest was quickly drawn toward mixed martial arts. Al had 14 amateur MMA fights as well as several Muay Thai kickboxing fights under Pat Miletich affiliated gym, Miletich New York.

In 2009 Iaquinta joined the Serra Longo Fight Team. Al made his professional debut Febuary 20th, 2009 at Ring of Combat in Atlantic City NJ. Iaquinta defeated Mervin Rodriguez in that fight by 1st round submission.

In March of 2012 (with a professional record of 5-1-1) Iaquinta defeated Jon Tuck to win his way onto Season 15 of The Ultimate Fighter Live. Iaquinta went on to defeat impressive lightweights Myles Jury, Andy Ogle, and Vinc Pichel during his stint on the show. Iaquinta’s goals remain the same from the day he entered the mixed martial arts world. To seek out the best competition and win. One day Iaquinta plans to have a gym and a fight team of his own, giving more back to the sport then he’s taken from it.
